Changes Health & Fitness Club, High Pit Road, Cramlington, have been recognised nationally for the emphasis it places on helping members to achieve their fitness goals.
The club has been short-listed for the prestigious National Fitness Awards given annually to honour clubs and individuals for their contributions to health and fitness.
Club member Sharon Arries said: "The club and staff are great and being shortlisted is well deserved. I think they should get the overall trophy!"
The Awards acknowledge excellence and achievement in the fitness industry and have seen nominations from clubs around the UK. It is now up to a panel of six experts to decide this year's winners, and the awards will be presented in November at the ICC in Birmingham.
Club owner, Robert Gow said: "Our fitness monitoring program goes further than that in many other fitness clubs and we are delighted to have been shortlisted for the award. The club has been shortlisted in the Independent Operators Club North category and to celebrate we are offering a six week trial membership at just £30 for non-members to experience the same benefits our members feel."
