Cramlington man caught buying alcohol for underage drinkers

A man has been fined for buying booze for underage teenagers in Northumberland.

The 18-year-old, of Cramlington, was arrested and given an £80 penalty order after officers were called by a member of staff at an off-licence.

Sgt Mick Aspey, of Cramlington Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "This is a perfect example of shop staff being vigilant and working with us to help improve our local areas."
