Town wakes up to first cold snap
'The Frost performs its secret ministry, unhelped by any wind', wrote Samuel Taylor Coleridge in 'Frost at Midnight'. And thousands of locals have woken up this morning to find gardens and vehicles touched with a sprinkling of frost -with more cold weather to follow.

Age Concern also has a factsheet that those struggling with heating their home can download, and gives helpful tips on how to receive financial assistance and money saving ways to reduce heating expenses.
